Written by Given the rapidly changing situation regarding COVID-19 and the advice to avoid mass gatherings and practice social distancing, we regretfully have had to make the decision to postpone the LGBTIQ Women’s Health Conference.
In light of the official health advice provided by the Australian Department of Health and NSW Health, and the likely length of COVID-19 and the flu season over winter, we believe postponing the conference is a responsible, health based decision.
Recognising the valuable and unique nature of the LGBTIQ Women’s Health Conference, and its important role in advancing research, learning and networking for those interested in LGBTIQ women’s health, we are still planning to hold the Conference. We are hoping to go ahead in October or November and will advise the new dates as soon as we can.
For those of you who have already registered for the 2020 LGBTIQ Women’s Health Conference, you may retain your booking pending confirmation of the rescheduled dates, or request a full refund by contacting Anna Barker at conference@acon.org.au.
